Associate Medical Laboratory Technician (Hiring Immediately)

Description

The position is responsible for technical Medical Laboratory Technician bench duties within the laboratory, for the assigned section(s). The position performs routine and complex tests in any of these potential sections (as assigned): Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Molecular, and Immunohematology. The position has responsibility for planning, performing and evaluating laboratory testing analysis; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Medical Technologists, or
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Association of Bioanalysts
• Experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
