Café Staff (Full‑Time)

South Main & Salt Lake City Locations | $19–$21/hr

The Front is a community‑centered climbing gym dedicated to creating innovative spaces that inspire movement, connection, and growth. Our facilities bring together climbing, fitness, and food service to support active lifestyles and meaningful relationships - all under one roof.

As a Full‑Time Café Staff member , you'll help fuel our community by delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a high‑energy café environment. You'll balance front‑of‑house hospitality with back‑of‑house food prep, keeping quality, cleanliness, and guest experience at the center of everything you do.
Pay: $19–$21/hour
Locations: South Main & Salt Lake City Front locations

• Welcome guests with genuine, friendly service and create a positive café experience from start to finish
• Prepare and serve food, coffee, beverages, and alcoholic drinks following recipes and service standards
• Educate guests on menu offerings and help them choose what fits their taste and needs
• Prep ingredients, assemble menu items, and cook according to food quality and safety guidelines
• Keep front‑ and back‑of‑house spaces clean, organized, and stocked
• Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation to meet company standards
• Communicate inventory needs and help reduce waste through smart food handling
• Collaborate with café leadership on menu ideas and operational improvements
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures

You might be a great fit if you:

• Have 5+ years of professional experience , including at least 2 years serving and/or cooking
• Are 21+ years old with a valid Utah Alcohol Server Permit
• Hold a current food handler's permit
• Have barista experience (or strong interest) and enjoy working with coffee
• Thrive in fast‑paced environments and stay calm under pressure
• Communicate clearly, multitask well, and enjoy working as part of a team
• Can work nights, weekends, and variable shifts
• Are comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
• Care deeply about hospitality, consistency, and guest experience
