Electronics Technician II – 2nd Shift

Locations: St. Joseph, MO and Atchison, KS

Shift: 2nd Shift

Pay: $30.40 to $33.40 per hour

What You'll Do

As an Electronics Technician II, you'll install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment that keeps our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Test electrical systems and verify circuit continuity using diagnostic equipment

• Use ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing devices

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment

• Diagnose equipment failures and perform corrective maintenance

• Install, assemble, test, and maintain electrical systems and components

• Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules

• Work on DC systems and 480-volt three-phase electrical equipment

• Safely inspect and isolate equipment operating at up to 13,000 volts

• Read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical documentation

• Perform work from ladders, lifts, platforms, and rooftops when required

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Complete additional maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Electronics Technician certification or relevant vocational/technical education

• Must successfully pass the Electronics Technician assessment

Preferred Experience

• 1 to 2 years of industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience

• Experience troubleshooting three-phase motors and 220V and 480V electrical systems

• Experience working around medium-voltage systems up to 13,000 volts preferred

• Experience testing electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and control systems

Skills

• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics

• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and building codes

• Experience repairing motors, gearboxes, controls, and industrial equipment

• Ability to read and follow technical specifications and work instructions

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR and Export Control regulations to access restricted technical data
