Licensed Practical Nurse

Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician Apply nursing principles and age- and population-specific standards according to care plans Perform testing, evaluate resident status, provide needed care, recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond to emergent situations Ensure resident health, comfort, and safety Contribute to resident assessments and administer ordered medications or treatments Provide technical support to healthcare professionals Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary needs Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public Work as part of an interdisciplinary care team Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates under clinical supervision on prevention and treatment plans Develop resident self-care programs based on education principles Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Travel required to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius of permanent address 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred) Minimum of 30 hours per month One weekend shift per month Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse Minimum of 18 years of age Pre-licensure nursing program including supervised clinical experience across the life span, or minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges Maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements If position requires IV therapy/management skills in North Dakota: graduation from a Board-approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in providing professional nursing care in long-term care settings, including administering medications, conducting assessments, and developing self-care programs.
