Inventory Control Specialist

STERLING JEWELERS INC.JOB DESCRIPTIONJARED INVENTORY CLERKSupervised directly by the General Manager;supervised by Assistant Manager in Manager's absence;Sales Support Manager as applicable.Primary Responsibilities1. Contributes to an environment of total customer satisfaction by making thecustomer's needs the first priority.2. Inspects and checks in inbound parcels, mail, inventory and supplies.3. Inspects the accuracy of packing lists and verifies shipments. Updatesinventories as required.4. Maintains logs and reconciles transfer detail report as required inpreparation for Manager's review.5. Maintains receiving area in a clean and organized manner.6. Assists in the transfer/moving of merchandise to the office, RepairDepartment and/or sales floor in strict compliance with security and lossprevention guidelines. Never leaves merchandise unsecured orunattended.7. Audits and verifies departmental case counts.8. Adheres to all established security and loss prevention policies andprocedures.Secondary Responsibilities1. Controls the inventory of general store supplies.2. Assists in preparing outbound shipments utilizing carriers as directed.3. Assists in maintaining all inside and outside areas of the store as directed.4. Assists with general office duties as required.5. Stocks and maintains public restrooms.6. Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills and Abilities1. Ability to accurately count and complete varied administrative tasks.2. Strong self-initiative and ability to work independently.3. Ability to maintain "inventory control awareness" and to proactively ordersupplies.4. Professional approach and image.5. General jewelry knowledge.
