In this role, you'll work independently within a machining cellsetting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of precision machinesand you'll play a key part in building high-quality components that support our mission.

This role involves independently operating advanced precision machining equipmentsuch as lathes, grinders, and milling machinesto ensure parts meet strict customer specifications. It requires interpreting technical drawings, sketches, and specifications while applying shop math to plan and execute accurate machining work from start to finish. Responsibilities include selecting proper tools and fixtures, determining machining sequences, performing finishing and hand-tool operations, and verifying quality using precision measurement instruments. The position also demands monitoring machine systems for necessary adjustments, working across multiple information systems, and supporting smooth operations by collaborating with customers, support teams, and supervisors, as well as coordinating and managing materials throughout the machining process.

We'd love to hear from people with:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 25 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment

A successful candidate brings:

• Completion of a machining apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on training
• Experience with Esprit CAD/CAM or CREO Manufacturing software
• A Q-Clearance (or ability to obtain one)

Pay estimated starting base salary range: $54,299 - $90,499. This position is bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
