Outpatient Therapist

Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate therapeutic needs of clients and develop personalized treatment plans.- Provide individual, couples or family counseling in accordance with the client's personalized treatment plan.
• Conduct psycho-social assessments for each client to show clinical relevance of treatment.
• Implement empirically supported treatment strategies and accurately and professionally document interventions and client progress in a timely manner.
• Must be comfortable maintaining a diverse caseload, to include adults, youth (13 and up), couples, and families.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local licensing requirements (to include continuing education) and mandatory reporting procedures.
• Participate in community outreach & engagement events.
• Perform other duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS-EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:

• Clinical Master's in Social Work or Counseling.
• Must be licensed eligible or hold an LCSW or LPC license in the State of Virginia.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS-EXPERIENCE AND SKILL

• Must possess exceptional language and communication skills
• Must possess exceptional clinical documentation skills and be able to manage both verbal and written correspondence in compliance with HIPAA protocol
• Must possess basic computer skills and type 25+ w.p.m. for the input of clinical documentation using electronic record
• Must have experience using various treatment modalities appropriate for all life stages across a diverse range of specified populations
• Must be comfortable working with individuals, couples, families, and youth across a diverse age range In-office and via Telehealth
• Must be able to work as a team member in a collaborative environment
