May float to postpartum as needed. Facility may call off once per two-week pay period. Contract duration: 18 weeks. Highlights: Work in a 266-bed acute care hospital in a beautiful beachside location Unit includes 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms Approximately 200 deliveries per month with comprehensive perinatal services No on-call required; float to postpartum only when needed Epic charting system with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, and adults Requirements: Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission) Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and either AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM (AHA certifications required for ACLS/BLS) Epic charting experience required Community hospital experience required Skills required: assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, high-risk antepartum care, sterile vaginal exam; bonus if able to scrub for C-section and provide postpartum couplet care Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years Why Join Us?
