About the Position

Job Title: RN - Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This position is for a contract Registered Nurse in the Postpartum specialty. The assignment is for 13 weeks with no on-call requirements. The shift for this role is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The unit has a total of 24 beds and a staffing ratio of 3:1 or 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on patient acuity. The typical staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 4 registered nurses during the day and 1 clerk; there are no patient care technicians at night. Common procedures on this unit include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips. The candidate should possess good communication skills and be teamwork-oriented. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
