Senior SQL Server AdministratorGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior SQL Server Administrator for a hybrid position (3 days per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role serves as a subject matter expert for SQL Server Administration, responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex database solutions. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, provide technical leadership, and focus on performance tuning for large, high-tier environments within a project-driven environment.Responsibilities:Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex database solutions, often leveraging new technologiesServe as the subject matter expert for the teamManage multiple, moderately complex projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operationsTake responsibility for troubleshooting, process improvement, and operational excellenceWork under minimal supervision on complex problems where analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of various factorsProvide work leadership by assigning work and resolving problemsRequirements:10+ years of experience with SQL Server AdministrationExperience with AlwaysOn performance and tuning, including for large high-tier environmentsPrevious banking experience, preferably on the Application DBA sideStrong sense of problem ownership and client accountabilityProven ability to deliver within a project-driven environment with minimal or no supervisionProficiency with Microsoft OfficeDesired skills:Proficiency with Linux administration and scripting (Shell, Python)Experience automating operational tasks, monitoring, and maintenance activities related to NoSQL environments (e.g., TigerGraph)Pay range: $58.32 - $66.32 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
