The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life. Performs, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following protocols to assist in the physician diagnosis and treatment of illness and disease. Expected to utilize complex problem-solving skills in resolving clinical and instrument problems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university with 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) in biology including one semester in microbiology and 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) in chemistry including one semester in organic or biochemistry, which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the Bachelor's degree. Certified or eligible for categorical certification in medical technology by a recognized certifying body after one year of on-the-job experience. Ability to adopt H3W Leadership behaviors and become a strong H3W ambassador. Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and listening) skills and good leadership abilities. Ability to comply with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements by following established procedures in order to maintain a safe laboratory environment and to meet accreditation standards. Regular Standard Hours Per Week : 1 Schedule : Per Diem (1 hour) Shift Details : Varied hours and/or shifts as needed
