Unit Information: APU 66350, Location: Corpus Christi Bay Area, Floor: 2 East, Building: Main.

Number of Beds: 12, Number of Staff: 9 RNs, 2 New Grads in orientation, 1 NE.

Type of staff: Day Shift 2 RNs, 1 NE if available; Night Shift 2 RNs.

Patient Ratios: 3-4 per RN.

Type of equipment: Baxter IV Pumps, GE Fetal Monitoring.

EMR: CPN, Meditech.

Typical procedures performed on unit: Routine assessments, fetal monitoring, vital signs, finger sticks.

Best personality fit: Outgoing, eager, confident.

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, IFM.

Floating Area(s): L&D-to care for APU patients, PP-to care for PP moms only.

Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Royal Blue scrubs.

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

Weekends and On call: Weekend shifts are required, 4 per 4 week schedule period.
