Night Auditor

The Night Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of a hotel's financial records by performing end-of-day accounting and auditing tasks during the overnight shift. This position is responsible for reconciling daily transactions, verifying guest accounts, and preparing detailed financial reports that support management decision-making. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation. Experience with hotel property management systems or similar software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, hospitality management, or related field. Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar hospitality accounting role. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision. Bilingual skills to assist a diverse guest population. Responsibilities Perform nightly audit of all hotel financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments. Reconcile daily revenue and prepare accurate financial reports for management review. Verify guest accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure billing accuracy. Provide front desk support during overnight hours, including guest check-in and check-out. Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and prepare documentation for accounting purposes. Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency.
