We are looking for an exceptional Data Analyst that can play a key role in accelerating the development of the Aurora Driver by contributing towards the automation, monitoring, and analysis of our development and operational processes. This is an opportunity to leverage vast amounts of data from both online (on-road) and offline (simulation) test modalities to help Aurora achieve its product and commercialization goals.In this role you willDevelop reporting and analytics to optimize the value of the data we collect from our growing truck fleetWork closely with data scientist teammates and cross-functional Software leadership to help assess and prioritize data sourcing effortsPartner with Software teams to design and implement metrics and dashboards to accelerate their development processes and help them measure, understand, and improve performanceCollaborate with the larger Data Science & Analytics community to influence Aurora’s tooling ecosystem in support of data analytics work streamsRequired qualifications3-4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer or similar technical roleExperience taking Data Analytics projects end-to-end: synthesizing business needs, building data pipelines, adhering to high engineering rigor for safety-critical data products, and clearly communicating insightsAble to systematically approach open-ended questions to identify pragmatic data solutions that scaleAdvanced knowledge and experience using relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and familiarity with best practices for Data EngineeringIntermediate knowledge of data analytics infrastructure, including data transformation tools such as DBT and visualization frameworks and toolsCompetent in Python, able to write readable code that others can easily interpret and build onAble to work effectively in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving and high-stakes environmentProven ability to communicate technical, data-driven analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences across stakeholders, including translating and cascading Executive input into their workDesirable qualificationsAdvanced degree (MS) in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related quantitative fieldExperience with data science workflows such as classification, clustering, etc.Experience in the Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, or Advanced Transportation spacesExperience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) toolsFor roles based in Mountain View, CA and San Francisco, CA: The salary range for this position is $115,000- $184,000 per year. For roles based in Pittsburgh, PA: The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $166,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
