RIGGER SUPERVISOR II

Summary You will serve as a RIGGER SUPERVISOR II in the Rigging Operations Branch (Code 741), of the Rigging and Equipment Division (Code 740) for the LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPT (Code 700) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Learn more about this agency Duties Help
- You will plan temporary reassignment of workers among the work groups as required to balance workload and adhere to established schedules and priorities.
- You will receive and review work assignments; determine scope of work; anticipate problems that may arise in accomplishing unusual jobs; plans breakdown of job assignments to subordinate supervisors.
- You will initiate preliminary action to expedite and assure availability of special equipment, materials and outside manpower or services critical to the timely and quality completion of important jobs.
- You will plan or review plan of subordinate supervisors for layout of difficult and important jobs.
- You will explain unusual or new work methods, procedures and standard of quality and quantity.
- You will coordinate efforts of subordinate work groups with each other and with other groups working on the same projects.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
