Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity in San Juan, PR. This entry-level accounting role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who is ready to grow within a structured finance and accounting environment.

The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting transactions, account reconciliations, financial reporting, data entry, and record maintenance. Key Responsibilities

- Process incoming and outgoing accounting transactions accurately and in compliance with established financial policies and procedures.
- Verify, sort, calculate, post, and record financial data for daily accounting activity.
- Prepare invoices, bank deposits, account records, and financial documentation with strong attention to detail.
- Assist with reconciliations of general ledger, subsidiary accounts, and bank accounts by gathering and balancing information.
- Generate financial data, status reports, and special reports for management review.
- Maintain organized financial records, protect confidential information, and support database backups and documentation retention.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $14.50 per hour.
- Employment type: Temp-to-Hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process day-to-day accounting transactions, including posting, recording, and verifying financial data.
- Support account reconciliations, ledger accuracy, invoice preparation, and bank deposit documentation.
- Assist with financial reports, special projects, and responses to management inquiries.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and properly classified financial records.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or related experience.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience working with spreadsheets.
- Experience using accounting software or financial systems.
- Ability to calculate, post, reconcile, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to resolve transaction or client service issues professionally.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bank reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, accounting controls, and record retention procedures.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced accounting environment.
