The position requires preparation of detailed written field reports associated with industrial hygiene, asbestos and microbial projects. They will carry out and execute projects that are developed with the client and assigned by a Project Manager. The Field Inspector will serve as a liaison between the client and Project Manager or contractor, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of issues. They are a representative of our organization when performing field work and must maintain a knowledgeable and professional presence.This position will require driving to different job sites and will include a company field vehicle.Responsibilities:• Take lead on projects assigned and complete field work in an efficient and thorough manner.• Clearly communicate vital project information to the Project Manager(s), ensuring seamless coordination and progress tracking in a timely manner.• Conduct thorough reviews of contractor’s personnel certifications, medicals, etc. to ensure compliance with abatement requirements.• Act as a point of contact and meet with regulatory agents in the event of surprise site inspections.• Adapt the scope of work as needed in the field to accommodate actual conditions or changes that arise during project progression.• Identify and secure the necessary tools and equipment required for each project.• Abatement: Perform air sampling, clearances, and on-site analysis of air samples while adhering to quality control requirements.• Obtain and track project numbers for accurate record-keeping.• Report progress of project and provide technical input to Project Manager.• Assist with training and mentoring junior staff members, sharing your expertise and contributing to their professional development.Qualifications:• CSST (Certified Site Surveillance Technician) or CAC (Certified Asbestos Consultant) preferred.• Lead cert preferred..• Experience using MS Office and Excel programs with the ability to learn new programs.• 2+ years of related experience conducting field surveys, inspections, and assessments.• Must possess valid certifications required by California to perform assigned work.• Prefer a Bachelor’s of Science in industrial hygiene, health and safety, biological or physical science or equivalent experience.Physical & Work RequirementsPhysical ability to stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, walk, and stand for extended periods in varied work environments to perform sampling activitiesAbility to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer for documentation and reportingMust be able to pass a background check, annual physicals, and OSHA-required respirator fit testsValid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insuranceCompensation and RewardsCompetitive base salary with performance-based bonus structure tied to individual and team achievementsEligible for participation in our Incentive Compensation Bonus PlanComprehensive benefits package, including:Medical coverage with 100% company-paid premiums for employees and their families, plus 50% of the annual deductible covered by the company401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributionsVision and dental plan optionsFlexible Spending Accounts (health care and dependent care)Company-sponsored programs including Employee Assistance Program, life and disability insurance, Rocket Lawyer legal services, and mobile phone plan with VerizonVoluntary benefits options including supplemental life insurance for employees and dependents, short-term disability, hospital, accident, and pet insuranceGenerous PTO (3 weeks accrual), paid holidays, volunteer days, and floating holidayTuition Reimbursement Program to promote higher educationPaid training and certifications to support career advancementWage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.Equal Opportunity EmployerForensic Analytical Consulting Services is an equal-opportunity employer that complies with EEOC rules and regulations.
