As we continue to grow, we're looking for dedicated and compassionate Hospice Aides (HHAs) to join our team and make a lasting impact.Position SummaryAs a Certified Hospice Aide (HHA), you will be a vital member of our interdisciplinary care team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide personal care and support to patients in their homes. You'll help ensure comfort, dignity, and safety for patients during their end-of-life journey.Sequoia Hospice East Bay – Contra Costa County, CA Pay Range: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Per DiemKey ResponsibilitiesProvide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care.Assist with ambulation, exercise, and range-of-motion activities as directed.Plan and prepare nutritious meals; assist with feeding as needed.Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) when ordered.Support patients with self-administration of medications.Maintain a clean and safe living environment for patients.Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties as appropriate.Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.Attend interdisciplinary case conferences and contribute to care planning.Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to agency standards.QualificationsActive California Home Health Aide Certification.Current CPR certification.At least 18 years of age.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Empathy and compassion for patients and families.Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients; prolonged standing and walking required.Why Join Sequoia Hospice East Bay?We live by our CAPLICO Core Values:CelebrationAccountabilityPassion for LearningLove One AnotherIntelligent Risk TakingCustomer SecondOwnershipAt Sequoia, you'll be part of a supportive team that values your contributions and empowers you to make a meaningful difference.
