Production Supervisor II/III - 2nd Shift

Job Overview Greenheck Group is looking for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor II or III to lead our manufacturing operations on the second shift (2:00 – 10:00 PM) in Rocklin, CA. The role involves supervising hourly production staff, managing daily production schedules, ensuring safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities Directly supervise hourly production team members. Set performance expectations and ensure the team has the necessary equipment, training, and resources to complete tasks. Monitor daily production variance against plan, recommend capacity adjustments such as overtime or flex labor, and adjust staffing to meet productivity goals. Deliver daily, weekly and monthly communications to team members. Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot shop‑floor challenges and support special design‑requested orders. Conduct interviews, onboarding, and training plans for new hires. Coordinate cross‑department activities that impact the production process (scheduling, engineering, shipping, inventory control, sales, purchasing). Maintain work areas to meet or exceed company 5S and safety standards. Lead continuous‑improvement activities using GPS/lean methodologies to enhance key performance indicators and safety culture. Coordinate with maintenance to ensure tools and machinery are kept in operating condition. Work with the Material Specialist to manage inventory accuracy, stocking requirements, cycle counts, and receipts of parts. Develop cross‑training plans and encourage ongoing development of team members. Perform monthly safety training and maintain required safety records. Utilize ERP, attendance, and other Greenheck systems to support labor and manufacturing processes. Prepare and conduct performance reviews as necessary. Maintain a working knowledge of the current labor agreement and applicable government regulations. Act as a subject‑matter expert for manufacturing, special project, or engineering teams when called upon. Qualifications – Level II 4–6 years of relevant work experience; 2–4 years in a supervisory leadership role. Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in supply chain, operations management, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Preferred: 4‑year bachelor’s degree, continuous‑improvement training, SAP experience. Strong communication skills and ability to motivate a team. Qualifications – Level III 6–8 years of relevant work experience; 4–6 years in a supervisory leadership role. Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in supply chain, operations management, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Preferred: 4‑year bachelor’s degree, EPPIC or continuous‑improvement training, SAP experience. Demonstrated ability to drive large‑scale production improvements. Compensation & Benefits Base pay range: $85,731 – $117,552, depending on experience and performance. Physical requirements include daily use of a computer, occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, repetitive hand motions, and occasional mobility for meetings.
