This position will report to the Materials Supervisor and is based at our facility in Belleville, Michigan. It is extremely important this team member be aligned with Neapco's Core Values of Partnership, Passion, Agility, Teamwork, Integrity, and Diversity, along with Neapco's Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility goals and objectives.Job Description: Material HandlerIncluding but not limited to the following:Responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on customer orders and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the process of moving and distributing materialsOperate Hilo/ForkliftStage products and parts for production linesLoading and unloading products, crates, pallets, and cagesStocking and inventoryingPerform production tasksComplete tasks safely and efficientlyKeep work areas clean and organizedFollow all company rules and policiesReport safety hazard and incidents immediatelyAssist or train other associates in their assigned duties when neededParticipate in continuous improvement activitiesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills2 years of Hilo ExperiencePallet Jack experienceAbility to communicate in English to follow instructions regarding daily job assignmentsContribute to on-going 5-S efficiencies, and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers on work assignments and productsAbility to work with minimal supervision after training is completeAttention to quality and strong attention to detailAbility to do basic calculations and measurementsAbility to read and follow written and verbal work instructions and safety rulesGood attendanceFlexibility to work overtime and weekends as neededAbility to multi-taskAble to lift up to 50 lbs.EducationHighschool Diploma or equivalentNeapco recognizes that our team members are our most valuable asset, and we are committed to providing them with a safe, drug-free workplace fostering respect and ethical treatment.
