Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit supporting blood cancer patients, is hiring a full-time Director of Marketing in South Jordan, UT. You'll lead a team of six, report to the CEO, and run campaigns that help patients find the organization's tools and take part in research. You'll direct six marketing professionals across digital marketing, social media, design, advertising, and community operations, and you'll step in to write or edit the pieces that matter most. You'll set weekly priorities, manage projects and timelines in Asana, and work with outside agencies and freelancers within budget. With the CEO and leadership team, you'll build the annual marketing plan and campaign calendar, with clear audiences, channels, and success metrics. Your campaigns will cover patient engagement, research participation, events, and fundraising across email, web, video, print, and PR. You'll oversee paid media on Meta, Google, YouTube, and programmatic channels, and partner with the development team on year-end and Giving Tuesday appeals. Each month, you'll report results in GA4 and recommend what to change. You'll also help position the organization as a national leader in cancer advocacy and as a leader in the upcoming Utah Moonshot program. Minimal travel may be included. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field 5+ years of marketing and communications experience, including 2+ years managing a team Strong writing and editing skills, with published marketing copy to show Two original writing samples, not AI-generated, are required with your application. Finalists complete a short writing exercise. Experience running integrated campaigns from start to finish across digital, email, social, web, and events Working knowledge of paid digital advertising and analytics, including GA4, Google Tag Manager, UTMs, and conversion tracking Healthcare, science, or nonprofit marketing experience preferred; fundraising or donor communications a plus Ability to explain medical and research topics in plain language, and curiosity to learn about blood cancers Organized and deadline-driven, comfortable juggling many projects at once Familiarity with AI-enabled writing and marketing tools About the Organization Our client is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2012. It helps cancer patients, with a focus on blood cancers, find and use its platform, manage their Personal Health Record, and take part in research. It is funded by donors and fundraising. The team works in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment built on accountability, integrity, professionalism, and collaboration between in-office and remote colleagues.
