As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and patients while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed03:30 PM - 09:00 PMThur03:30 PM - 09:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols. Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, reporting unauthorized access attempts and/or suspicious behavior. Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol findings, incidents, and other security-related activities. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Possess a DCJS license in Virginia. Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred. Possess CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
