Hospital Laboratory Supervisor - Core Lab

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor for the Core Lab at a Detroit hospital. The role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising technical staff, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining regulatory compliance in a shift-based position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Core Lab operations and ensure accurate test performance with timely result reporting
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel; provide coaching and feedback
• Monitor workflow, schedule assay coverage, and maintain proper staffing levels across shifts
• Research and resolve production errors; implement process improvements and quality assurance
• Maintain equipment through Quality Control and ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Four or more years of experience as laboratory technologist or technician
• Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test

Compensation: $5,000 sign-on bonus (external candidates only)
