What You Will Do You will develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) using Java. You will design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment. You will work in a highly collaborate team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions. What You Will Learn You will learn how to develop high quality software to support real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) systems. You will learn how to support engineering process improvements, audits and peer reviews. You will learn how to work within a highly collaborative software team and interface with other engineering disciplines as needed to meet program contract milestones. You will learn how to update documentation related to test, verification, and design activities. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date. Experience and/or knowledge in programming multithreaded systems. Experience in software development using Java or C++. Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects. Qualifications We Prefer Ability to engage & build positive relationships with both customers as well as internal & external employees. Opportunities for travel to customer sites for demos, integration and support. Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms and information retrieval. Relevant work experience using SW Development tools (e.g. Maven, Apache Ant, Jenkins, etc). Relevant work experience with full life cycle development including exposure to software requirements, design, development, debug and test. Relocation Eligibility Onsite Role Details Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
