Functional Responsibilities Direct Daily Operations Assists in performing routine maintenance and repairs on distribution center equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, material handling systems, and other machinery. Conducts daily inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs or preventative maintenance. Performs routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and minor repairs of building services and systems. Handles chemicals and electrical systems with care, following established safety protocols. Communication and Collaboration: Responds promptly to service requests from operations and other departments, ensuring minimal disruption to daily activities. Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors about maintenance activities, equipment status, and safety concerns. Collaborates with maintenance and operations teams to coordinate repairs, maintenance schedules, and upgrades to ensure minimal downtime Provides technical support for facility-related issues as needed, working in partnership with the broader maintenance team. Contributes to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes by identifying recurring issues and recommending solutions to prevent future occurrences. Participates in ongoing efforts to improve safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability within the distribution center. Supports the implementation of maintenance best practices, new tools, and technologies to optimize performance. Tracks maintenance activities and assist with reporting maintenance data to help with performance analysis and future planning Continuing Education Participates in training sessions and development opportunities to stay current with new maintenance techniques, equipment technologies, and safety regulations. Maintains knowledge of industry standards and best practices for equipment maintenance and facility management. Stays informed about changes in safety regulations, chemicals, and other technical updates that may impact maintenance activities. Seeks opportunities for cross-training to support other functions within the maintenance team. Education/Qualifications

REQUIRED

High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and communication skills. Basic understanding of facility systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds on a consistent basis, with the ability to bend, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as necessary for specific maintenance tasks.

PREFERRED

Technical certifications in maintenance or related fields (e.g., HVAC, electrical, mechanical). Previous experience in a maintenance role within a distribution center or industrial environment. Familiarity with industrial maintenance software or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and experience with equipment troubleshooting. REQUIRED

A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance or a similar role, particularly within a warehouse, distribution center, or industrial setting. Proven experience operating basic material handling equipmentas forklifts, scrubbers, balers, and basic hand tools. Practical understanding of maintaining and troubleshooting basic mechanical systems, electrical components, and small equipment. Experience working in compliance with safety standards and procedures in an industrial or warehouse environment. Demonstrated ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues with minimal supervision.

PREFERRED

Over 2 years of experience in building/facility maintenance, preferably in a distribution center or manufacturing environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Forklift Certification, Maintenance Technician Certification) are highly desirable. Experience with specialized systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, or conveyor systems. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and practices aimed at reducing downtime and increasing equipment lifespan.
