Job Title: Registered Nurse - Skilled Nursing Profession: Nursing Specialty: Skilled Nursing Facility Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (0630-1900) Experience: Must have prior experience in a skilled nursing setting License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: Current CPR certification required Must-Have: Education verification required Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our skilled nursing units. The candidate must have a current nursing license and CPR certification. The traveler may be asked to float to other in-patient units due to census needs. This position requires a 0.9 FTE commitment with day shifts from 0630 to 1900, including every third weekend and a holiday rotation. The ideal candidate will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures, as well as state laws and practice acts. Documentation must meet standards of care. The nurse will develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by a physician and/or hospital policy, including instruction for patients and families. Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities may include shared governance. The nurse will utilize clinical expertise to guide other units or departments in supporting the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Critical thinking about patient safety and experience is essential, and appropriate escalation to the chain of command is required. Holiday coverage is required.
