Crisis Services Advocate, Bilingual

Description We are looking for a compassionate and team-orientated Crisis Services Advocate to join our Crisis Services team providing crisis service delivery, including agency Intakes, walk-in services, needs assessments, safety planning, information and referrals, assessing level of risk, providing information about crime victim’s rights and agency services, answering the 24/7 Crisis Line, and supporting Survivors Advocacy Team (SAT) response. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation for SAT response. Reports to: Crisis Services Coordinator Supervises: Assigned volunteers and interns Primary Functions Provide crisis intervention and safety planning for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault Conduct agency intakes, including needs and risk assessments, service planning, and shelter eligibility screening Respond to crisis line calls, walk-in clients, and Survivors’ Advocacy Team (SAT) response needs, providing crisis intervention, information, and referrals Support Survivors’ Advocacy Team (SAT) response, including coordination and dispatch to hospitals and law enforcement agencies, as needed Assess client needs and connect clients to appropriate resources, including agency programs and community services Provide information and education on protective orders, crime victims’ compensation, Child Protective Services, and available agency services Coordinate with external partners, including mobile crisis units, as appropriate to support client safety Provide SAT on-call coverage, responding onsite to area hospitals and law enforcement agencies to provide support and crisis intervention Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential client records and documentation Apply professional judgment to client interactions, decision-making, and problem-solving in crisis situations Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development as required Maintain flexibility to support evening, overnight, and weekend coverage based on program needs Participate in DCFOF staff and education meetings as requested.
