Solution Optimizers is a growing technology consulting and professional services firm specializing in helping credit unions and community financial institutions get more from the enterprise systems they already use. Our team combines deep financial institution operations experience with technical expertise to help clients automate processes, improve efficiency, and deliver better service to their members.

We work with several leading financial technology platforms, including Corelation Keystone, Hyland OnBase, Alogent FASTdocs, OpCon, e-signature solutions, reporting platforms, and other systems used throughout credit union operations.

We are looking for a Part-Time Junior Developer to join our growing team and focus primarily on developing and maintaining solutions within the Corelation Keystone core banking platform.

About the Role

This is a fully remote, part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. Compensation is $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate has a foundation in Java, JavaScript, and SQL and is interested in developing those skills within the financial technology industry. Previous experience with Keystone or core banking technology is helpful but not required.

Our experienced team will provide training and guidance on Keystone scripting and the credit union technology environment. This is an opportunity to develop specialized, highly marketable experience while working on real-world solutions used by financial institutions.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain scripts and technical solutions for the Corelation Keystone core banking platform.
• Use Java, JavaScript, and SQL to develop solutions that automate processes and improve operational efficiency for credit unions.
• Write, analyze, and troubleshoot SQL queries, including queries involving IBM Db2 databases.
• Assist with the development of Keystone UI scripts, batch scripts, integrations, reports, and other customized solutions.
• Review and improve existing scripts and solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with identifying root causes and solutions.
• Work with Solution Optimizers consultants and subject matter experts to translate business and operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance before solutions are deployed to client environments.
• Document scripts, configurations, testing results, and technical solutions.
• Continue developing knowledge of Keystone and other technologies used by credit unions and financial institutions.

Requirements:

Must reside in the United States full-time.

Required Skills

• Working knowledge of Java and JavaScript
• Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries
• Understanding of relational databases and database concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to learn new technologies and business processes
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members
• Ability to manage assignments and work independently in a remote environment

Helpful Experience — But Not Required

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus, but we encourage candidates who meet the core technical requirements to apply:

• Core banking or financial technology systems
• Credit union or banking operations
• Corelation Keystone, particularly UI or batch scripting
• Financial technology integrations or process automation
• Reporting or data extraction
• Working in a consulting or client-service environment
