Nightwing brings disruptive technologies, agility, and competitive offerings to customers in the intelligence community, defense, civil, and commercial markets.Senior Principal Software Engineer, HyperscaleWe are seeking a senior software engineer to design and implement innovative solutions for large-scale software environments requiring excellent technical and interpersonal skills to analyze, define, implement, and optimize High Performance Computing (HPC) and Hyperscale solutions. Applicants will join a team of developers building high impact software products that must scale to meet ever-growing demand. You must be able to analyze existing software solutions and assess their bottlenecks to design and implement performant computational solutions.Technical RequirementsCurrent TS/SCI with poly required.Proficiency in HPC applications, hyperscale compute, and storage architecturesComprehensive knowledge of computer network architecture and computer software architectureExperience with delay tolerant networking, scalable technologies, and microservice architectures8+ years of experience with C/C++ on Unix/Linux platforms using Make/CMake build systemsPassion for software computational performance and maintainable software designDesired ExperienceTeam or task leadership experienceComfort working with engineers, solutions architects, and stakeholdersBachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related fieldPosition work locations are either Annapolis Junction, MD or Dulles, VAThis position is not relocation eligible, but a signing bonus may be an option for the sufficiently qualified candidate.At Nightwing, we value collaboration and teamwork.
