Registered Nurse

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing and managing a diverse patient population. The nurse will actively participate in the care of patients experiencing acute medical and surgical emergencies. Experience with the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is required. The role includes blood product administration, obtaining 12 lead EKGs, phlebotomy, starting IVs, and central line care. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing continuous IV sedation and emergency medications. The nurse will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive care to patients. Knowledge of the documentation system is essential. The schedule requires working every other weekend and all holidays as scheduled. Candidates should be familiar with emergency care protocols and procedures. Preferred skills include the care of ventilated patients, management of trauma patients, and proficiency in emergency medications. The role requires strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations. Candidates must prioritize patient safety and high-quality care in all interactions. Experience in a fast-paced environment is essential, and familiarity with various medical conditions and emergencies is preferred.
