Clear Creek Rock House is a faith based, non-profit organization located in Idaho Springs which has been supporting Clear Creek County's underprivileged youth in grades 6 through 12 for over twenty five years. The teens we serve typically come from low income, non-traditional families. We provide no-cost tutoring and weekly one-on-one mentoring, incorporating life skills, fun activities, and community service opportunities.

Position Overview

The Executive Director (ED) reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall management of the Clear Creek Rock House. This includes strategic leadership, HR management, program oversight, fundraising, and community relations. The ED serves as a non-voting member of the Board. We are looking for a mature individual with experience in the areas listed below.

Role Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $65K – $75K /year commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Fundraising
• Budgeting: Prepare and manage the annual budget with the BoardTreasurer; report on variances at regular Board meetings.
• Grants: Lead grant writing efforts, including the annual DOLA Gaming Impact Grant.
• Fundraising: Oversee Colorado Gives and develop student success stories/impact reports for donor engagement.
• Administration: Supervise bookkeeping, mentoring, tutoring and administrative staff.
• Human Resources & Leadership
• Team Management: Responsible for hiring/firing (with Board approval) and conducting annual performance reviews.
• Development: Maintain updated job descriptions and ensure staff understand benefits (e.g., medical stipends).
• Board Liaison: Provide monthly reports on student success, program stats, and life skill improvements.
• Program Oversight & Staff Coordination
• Mentoring: Coordinate mentor training curricula and ensure Life Skills assessments are completed bi-annually.
• Tutoring: Track and report on student graduation rates and grade improvements.
• Outreach: Approve newsletters and ensure weekly social media updates; maintain partner church communications.
• Collaboration: Hold weekly operational meetings with all Coordinators.
• Community & Spiritual Engagement
• Community Relations: Maintain partnerships with school principals/counselors, law enforcement, civic groups, and Human Services.
• Church Partnerships: Strive to increase church funding and represent the Rock House at community events.
• Spiritual Leadership: Facilitate access to Bible studies, equine-assisted therapy, and summer camp opportunities.
• Summer Programming: Coordinate and oversee "Summer Fun Wednesdays" and the annual "End of School Celebration."

Organizational Goals

Life Skills: Equip youth with the tools to become participating members of society through intentional mentoring and tutoring.

Spiritual Mentorship: Model the love of Jesus and provide a gateway for students to explore their relationship with the Creator.
