Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2320 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Great River Health System (Direct) Program - Main.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Epic EMR experience in a like unit within the last 12 months required.

Unit Details: - Cares for geriatric and adult medical/surgical and telemetry patients. - Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. - Med/Surg ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend rotation. - Estimated work week 36-hours with the possibility of overtime. - Not part of a regular call rotation, but may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. - If called in, must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.

Floating Requirements: - May be required to float to Fort Madison or Henry County campus at times. - Floating is required for non-critical care inpatient units, including to the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. - Travelers with critical care experience may occasionally float to CCU.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required

Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or the alternative certification MAB

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
