*Training Rate: $17.18 - For at least 90 days.

*Final Rate after all training is completed: $23.07

2ND SHIFT POSITION - *5% Shift Differential

DESCRIPTION: Sets up and operates an up and down die cutting press to cut out parts of specified size and shape from a variety of materials using affixed steel rule dies by performing the following.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

OPERATOR:

Trained on information in the Quality Environmental Management System document ation that pertain to this specific position. (Maintained and retained)

Scheduling daily workload.

Trained on using integrated ERP system for tracking labor hours and reporting production.

Performs safe setup of machine/die/material(s) to operate an up and down die cutting press to make parts to customer specifications.

Reads and interprets work order and blueprints.

Verifies job jacket information by cross checking jacket contents.

Ability to use calipers and ability to read a measuring tape and ruler

Trained on operating Micro Vu

Computes yield on jobs to most efficiently utilize material quantities.

Completes required paperwork completely, legibly and accurately.

Performs daily housekeeping in work area.

Reports machine malfunctions to Manager so repairs may be scheduled.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to complete required paperwork.  Ability to speak effectively to other workers, management and other departments of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. All vision abilities are required by this job including peripheral vision.
