Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly communicating each step with warmth and empathy
• Cooperate closely with radiologists and referring physicians to generate high-quality diagnostic imagery
• Operate and maintain imaging apparatus, promptly addressing any equipment issues
• Document procedures accurately and uphold patient records in the electronic medical record system
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques as well as best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent agency
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Proven technical proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a patient-centric orientation
