Welding Lab Technician

Overview This part-time position assists in maintaining day-to-day operations of the welding lab. Duties include cutting and preparing metal for classes, cleaning equipment, keeping a clean weld lab, and performing minor maintenance of equipment and power tools. Some lifting is required. Some knowledge of welding processes is helpful. Duties and Responsibilities Keep metal cut and prepared for classes. Clean equipment and maintain a clean weld lab. Perform minor maintenance of equipment and power tools. Assist with other tasks as needed, including lifting as required. Hours and Pay This role pays $15.00 per hour. Work hours may vary but are expected to be about 16 hours per week. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Some knowledge of welding processes. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree and/or certification in welding.
