Work Schedule: Full-Time, 8-Hour Day ShiftsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform mammographic imaging examinations while maintaining high standards of image quality and patient safety.Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and apply appropriate radiation protection techniques.Review images for positioning, clarity, and diagnostic accuracy before submission to the interpreting radiologist.Follow Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA), California regulatory requirements, and Joint Commission standards.Collaborate with radiologists, nursing professionals, and other clinical team members to coordinate patient examinations.Explain imaging procedures to patients, address concerns, and provide compassionate care throughout the examination.Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and examination-related information.Coordinate daily imaging activities to support efficient patient scheduling and workflow.Apply independent clinical judgment within established protocols and professional practice standards.Required QualificationsCompletion of an educational program that satisfies applicable radiologic technology certification and licensing requirements.California Mammographic Radiologic Technology Certification required upon hire.National Registered Technologist – Mammography credential required upon hire.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire.Ability to perform mammographic examinations safely and accurately.Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and diagnostic imaging practices.Preferred QualificationsAt least 1 year of professional mammography experience.Familiarity with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements.Experience working in a hospital-based or specialized breast imaging environment.Demonstrated ability to manage patient examinations efficiently while maintaining excellent care standards.Key Skills RequiredMammographic Imaging: Proficiency in patient positioning, image acquisition, and image quality assessment.Radiation Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of radiation protection, MQSA requirements, and clinical safety standards.Patient-Centered Communication: Ability to provide reassurance, explain procedures, and maintain patient dignity.Clinical Judgment: Ability to recognize imaging quality issues and take appropriate corrective action.Teamwork and Organization: Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment.Why This Location?
