When you're an Independent Contractor, as the vast majority of Landmen are, that's all you can ask for.\" - Wade, PA Position: Sr. Landman | In Office Location: Houston, TX Job Id: 211 # of Openings: 1 Senior In-House Landman | Downtown Houston, TX | In-Office What you'll be doing Serving as the go-to liaison between E&P operators, outside partners, and business contacts; keeping mineral development moving across your assigned basins Preparing, reviewing, and managing complex oil and gas contracts, leases, and curative documents Reviewing incoming well notices and AFEs, and flagging organic growth opportunities alongside the technical team Working shoulder to shoulder with engineering, geology, finance, GIS, and legal to evaluate prospects and keep project mapping current What we're looking for 7+ years of progressive landman experience across multiple basins CPL + field land work at some point preferred Working knowledge of Federal oil and gas regulations, Land Systems/ODL, and ArcGIS A command of U.S. mineral and surface ownership principles, title opinions, and regulatory compliance; this is a seat for someone who already knows the material What sets a candidate apart A track record of resolving title and contract issues independently, across more than one basin, without needing it handed to you pre-solved A history of building long-term operator relationships that last past the current deal As a note, this role is: 100% in office, downtown Houston Senior-level seat with ownership over assigned regional basins Managing a mineral portfolio across multiple basins isn't a simple desk job.
