Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a Network and Computer System Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full-time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) position located in Patuxent River, MD 20670 .

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Add and configure new devices on the network, and provide support via phone, chat, and tickets.
• Identify, evaluate, and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Assist with the configuration, testing, and installation of networking devices, such as switches and routers, from vendors including Cisco, Brocade, Dell, Juniper, Extreme, and Aruba.
• Support network compliance by implementing security policies (e.g., STIGs), validating security scans (e.g., ACAS), and preparing documentation for cybersecurity reviews (e.g., ATO validation).
• Collaborate with senior staff and other teams to resolve connectivity issues extending beyond the network boundary, including contacting HPCMP or opening Cisco TAC cases as needed.
• Apply familiarity with network topology and basic commands for Brocade and Cisco devices in performing job functions.
• Apply an intermediate understanding of networking concepts and of technical tools and systems in performing job functions.
• Work collaboratively across multiple functional areas within the department while growing technical skills in Network Operations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering is preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of experience performing work related to the roles/responsibilities listed above.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• Familiarity with network topology, Active Directory, and basic commands for Brocade and Cisco devices.
• Intermediate understanding of networking concepts and of technical tools and systems.
• Experience identifying, evaluating, and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
• Experienced in supporting network compliance by implementing security policies (e.g., STIGs), validating security scans (e.g., ACAS), and preparing documentation for cybersecurity reviews (e.g., ATO validation).
• Experienced in collaborating with senior staff and other teams to address connectivity issues extending beyond the network boundary, including contacting HPCMP or opening Cisco TAC cases as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers.
• One of the following Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) certifications: CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Security+, GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
• US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirements.
• Interim/active TOP SECRET clearance with the ability to become SCI eligible.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

• CCNA certification.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness:

• The annual compensation range is $110,000 to $150,000, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
• Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards.
