American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (LDRP) position at a community teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience and an active NC or compact RN license. Requirements Active NC or compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required, with most recent experience within the last year Proficiency in all aspects of LDRP patient care, including circulating C‑sections, newborn care (heel sticks, 24‑hour testing, NAS scoring), and lactation support Epic EMR experience required Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Responsibilities 18‑bed LDRP unit with 5 OB triage bays and 2 OB ORs at a 174‑licensed‑bed community hospital Patient population includes LDRP and GYN surgical cases, with 40–65 deliveries per month Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines with 1 CNA per shift 12‑hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week Weekend rotation every other weekend No on‑call requirements Floating required within Region 2 (Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and Central Division including CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children's Hospital) based on unit needs and within scope of practice — do not apply if not agreeable to this requirement EMR: Epic (experience required) Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors, GE Corometrics fetal monitors, and GE Panda warmers First‑time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted Former permanent employees of any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible Unit support includes a charge nurse, CNA, receptionist/HUC (24/7), case manager, respiratory therapy (24/7), hospitalist or OB physician (24/7), in‑house OB physicians, pediatrician, and lactation consultants New Employee Orientation (NEO) plus 2 days of departmental orientation provided Travelers are expected to work 75% of assigned holidays RTO: Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays; missed contracted hours must be made up at the end of the contract Schedule is set on a 6‑week cycle Scrubs: Navy blue or business casual to/from work; hospital‑issued scrubs required while on unit Free parking available on site Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
