Job Title: BOH Shift Manager Reports To: Assistant Kitchen Manager Supervises: Cooks, Prep Cooks, Dishwashers Job Summary Shift Manager at Hi-Pointe Drive‑In oversees the kitchen during shifts, leading a high‑performing and supportive team. The role focuses on flawless execution of company recipes, maintaining food and labor cost standards, ensuring food safety and equipment readiness, and fostering a positive culture that keeps employees motivated and engaged. Job Responsibilities Assist the Kitchen Manager in training and developing the team. Execute shifts independently with flawless precision. Manage BOH labor costs, adjusting staffing during breaks or slow periods. Maintain food cost standards through effective inventory, ordering, and portion control. Understand and adhere to all local and state food‑safety requirements. Streamline kitchen processes to keep ticket times consistent with fast‑casual expectations. Create and maintain a positive workplace culture that encourages growth and excellence. Ensure all kitchen equipment is safe, checked, and regularly serviced. Delegate and enforce checklists for smooth kitchen operations. Regularly test products to verify quality and recipe execution meet standards. Communicate company messages to BOH staff regarding product or policy changes. Train and develop team members to meet restaurant standards for safety and food handling. Adhere to company standards for personal hygiene and appearance. Act as an ambassador for Hi‑Pointe, representing pride in the brand. Perform any other tasks assigned by the manager.
