About the Opportunity

As a Special Education Teacher at Emmaus College (Jimboomba) you will deliver inclusive, learner‑centred instruction for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with national standards and fostering strong relationships with families, staff, and the wider community.

• Develop and maintain a nurturing, orderly learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
• Collaborate on inclusive education practices, curriculum design and delivery.
• Implement adaptive, equitable teaching strategies and assess student progress.
• Prepare Personalised Support Plans that meet NCCD timelines.
• Participate in professional renewal and contribute to the school’s professional life.
• Supervise students and promote pastoral care and Christian values.
• Engage families and community in learning, events and celebrations.

About You

• Knowledge of policies, practices and strategies that support students with disabilities.
• Experience in curriculum development and adaptation for diverse learners.
• Understanding of the NCCD, learning profiles and evidence collection.
• Strong classroom management and supervision skills.
• Ability to build partnerships with the wider community and support holistic student development.
