WBZ-TV is looking for a dynamic, experienced, full-time meteorologist to join our NEXT Weather team. Responsibilities include creating daily forecasts, producing graphics, contributing to severe weather coverage, reporting on climate change, and presenting weather changes across WBZ-TV, CBSBoston.com, and CBS News Boston. The ideal candidate will analyze and deliver accurate forecasts, own breaking weather coverage, and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively about weather scenarios.
Requirements include certification as an AMS meteorologist, skills in telling a comprehensive weather story, proficiency in posting weather-related information on social media, a valid driver's license, and 5+ years of related experience. Preferred skills include the ability to shoot, write, and edit reports, experience presenting news, and knowledge of the New England area.
This will be a union-represented position with CBS News and Stations, which brings together the power of CBS News, 28 owned television stations, the CBS News Streaming Network, and more.
