Weekend On Call CaregiverCaregivers assist agency clients with tasks of daily living as outlined in a written care plan established by the agency Care Manager. This may include the provision of hands-on personal care services as well as tasks generally considered to be companion or homemaker in nature, such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, errands, transportation and companionship.Caregivers must have 1,000 hours of long-term care with geriatric or chronically ill persons. This translates to approximately 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part time work. Exceptions to this requirement are for recently licensed Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs), or persons who will only be providing companionship and housekeeping services.Caregivers must also have a CNA or HHA license preferred, proof of current TB testing, and must be physically able to perform the duties of this position. They must have available reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. Caregivers must possess excellent communication skills, be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable, and pass a criminal background check (national and any required by state). They must also provide verifiable professional and personal references.Caregivers must understand a client's care plan and adequately implement it. They must assist clients according to their care plan which may include: companionship, meal preparation and service, light housekeeping, transportation, shopping, medication reminders, bathing, body care, dressing, feeding, ambulation, positioning, transferring, toileting, and protective supervision. They must notify the Care Manager of client concerns, changes in care or client condition and client emergencies, and notify the Care Manager and/or Staffing Coordinator of any safety concerns. They must follow company Infection Control practices; notify the office if in need of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or supplies. They must follow the ClearCare Telephony Instructions to clock in and clock out for all scheduled shifts and accurately update your task status for each client prior to clocking out and leaving the client's home. For compensable worked hours that are not allocated to a specific client (such as training time), they must use and submit the Time Log and Time Certification for Non-Visit Time form for each period pay period. They must conform to the company dress code as specified in the Employee Handbook, report to work on-time and ready for the day, complete ongoing training as required by client care needs and/or changes in company policies and procedures, attend staff meetings, and adhere to all company policies and procedures as detailed in the Employee Handbook.On-Call Hours: Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 8:00 AMCompensation: $200 per weekend + your hourly rate for any shifts workedWeekend on-call expectations include:Keeping your phone on and responding promptly to calls or textsBeing prepared to accept last-minute shifts, call-offs, or urgent coverage needsArriving on time and ready to work if assigned to a shiftCommunicating immediately if an emergency arises that impacts your availabilityMust be available to respond to calls and cover urgent needs during this time frameThis role is ideal for caregivers looking to earn extra income while supporting our clients and team during weekend hours.The caregiver is supervised by the Care Manager and receives scheduling direction from the Staffing Coordinator.Physical and environmental demands include repositioning and transferring clients, sustaining weight of clients using proper transfer safety techniques and equipment, and traveling to client's residence place of residence using a reliable means of transportation.
