Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital is seeking compassionate, adaptable, and team-oriented Registered Nurses to join our combined Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department Unit. Responsibilities

Our Units consist of Medical Surgical beds and Emergency Room beds providing nurses with a broad scope of practice and the opportunity to expand their clinical expertise through cross-training opportunities.

• Competitive nurse-to-patient ratios:
• Medical-Surgical: 1:6

• Serves as a clinical resource by coordinating and overseeing patient care, delegating responsibilities based on patient needs, staff competencies, and unit priorities.
• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, evaluates outcomes, and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care.
• Coordinates care with patients, families, providers, and other healthcare professionals to promote positive patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Educates patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, patient rights, and informed consent.
• Maintains current knowledge of evidence-based practice, nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the use of clinical equipment and technology required for patient care.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members while contributing to a collaborative and patient-centered environment.
• Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and professional development activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire (AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross accepted).
• Additional certifications may be required based on department assignment. (ACLS, PALS, NRP)
