JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective Oversee and manages all day-to-day production operations, in the assigned production section. Contributes to production planning processes. Allocates personnel resources. Proposes procedures improvements and implements technical infrastructure. Ensures adherence to established quality guidelines and production safety requirements. Determines manufacturing priorities based on established weekly production schedules. Make daily assignments. Directs all related personnel actions; advise staff, executes performance measurements, etc... Interprets specifications and makes judgments about the acceptability of production that is in process. Provide manpower planning to ensure production schedules are met Lead the training and qualification process of direct reports Facilitate Team meetings to communicate departmental KPI measurements, etc Lead and solicit continuous improvement ideas from team members Ensure employees are following established procedures and Standard work process. Address employee performance issues in a timely manner Manage the time and attendance system to ensure employees are properly compensated Ensure that all HSE policy and procedures are followed Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable. Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations. Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions. Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree. Skills and Competencies Has SAP system knowledge. Exhibits accident investigation skills. Has Dayforce knowledge. Has working knowledge of lean principles. Exhibits excellent leadership skills. Technical Capacity Knowledge/understanding of property descriptions. Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills. Organization Skills Time Management Supervisory Responsibility This position has >10 direct hourly reports The employee will be required to perform duties on a computer terminal. The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
