IT Support Technician / Junior Systems Administrator

Our client is seeking an IT Support Technician / Junior Systems Administrator to provide technical support, maintain IT infrastructure, and ensure seamless technology operations for end users. This role combines hands-on technical support with system administration responsibilities, making it ideal for professionals looking to grow their careers in IT.

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting hardware, software, network, and server environments while delivering exceptional service to users.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, software applications, and network connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Support Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Create, modify, and manage user accounts in Active Directory.
• Assist with Windows Server administration and system maintenance.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
• Manage and maintain printers, peripherals, and related equipment.
• Respond to help desk requests and document resolutions.
• Maintain accurate inventory and asset records.
• Collaborate with IT team members on projects, upgrades, and technology initiatives.
• Provide exceptional customer service to end users while meeting established service levels.
• Assist with technology support during special events and organizational initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience providing desktop, help desk, or technical support.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and PC hardware.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Windows Server administration experience.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Familiarity with printer management and network-attached devices.
• Knowledge of scripting, automation, or basic web technologies.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL, or related certifications.
