A premier multi-site global manufacturing organization operating within the Greater New York Metro area, is seeking a high-caliber Director of Supply Chain Management. Reporting directly to the Group President, this executive will provide strategic and operational leadership across a decentralized network of internal manufacturing plants, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), and regional distribution hubs.

This role requires 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, with specialized expertise in high-volume electromechanical manufacturing, hardware, and/or industrial plant environments. The Director will be responsible for driving operational resilience, working capital optimization, robust supplier risk governance, and enterprise-wide SIOP/S&OP execution across high-complexity product portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Supply Chain Strategy & Execution

• Lead corporate supply chain strategy, master planning, procurement, and materials execution across multi-site manufacturing facilities operating within high-volume electromechanical manufacturing, hardware, and/or industrial plant environments.
• Partner directly with plant managers, quality engineering, and shop-floor leadership via Gemba walks to ensure corporate supply strategies align seamlessly with daily manufacturing realities.
• Align decentralized manufacturing plants, co-manufacturers, and distribution centers without direct hierarchical line authority, establishing unified KPI scorecards and operational discipline.

Enterprise SIOP Governance & S&OE Rhythms

• Architect and steer monthly executive SIOP cycles, uniting Commercial Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Operations to maintain accurate 30-week rolling production and capacity plans.
• Establish short-term Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) protocols to proactively resolve shop-floor constraints and ensure material availability.

Strategic Sourcing, Procurement & Resiliency

• Optimize global direct and sub-tier supplier networks within high-volume electromechanical, hardware, and industrial manufacturing sectors, driving component localization, dual-sourcing strategies, tariff/trade risk mitigation, and payment term extensions to protect margins and line continuity.
• Lead high-value contract negotiations and establish vendor performance frameworks to ensure supplier quality, delivery compliance, and cost competitiveness.

Working Capital & Inventory Health

• Deploy advanced inventory segmentation strategies (Kanban, VMI, pull replenishment) across multi-facility networks to eliminate excess and obsolete (E&O) stock.
• Boost inventory turns and achieve benchmark customer service levels (95%+ On-Time In-Full / OTIF delivery).

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Manufacturing Leadership Experience (MUST-HAVE): 10+ years of progressive supply chain and operational leadership, with direct experience in high-volume electromechanical manufacturing, hardware, and/or industrial plant environments.
• Multi-Site & Matrix Alignment: Proven track record of managing materials, procurement, or supply chain strategy across multi-facility manufacturing networks and external contract manufacturing partners.
• Enterprise SIOP / S&OP Mastery: Hands-on experience building or anchoring formal Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning rhythms that align executive leadership with shop-floor execution across electromechanical, hardware, or industrial lines.
• High-SKU & Material Management: Demonstrated ability to manage high-complexity SKU portfolios (2,000+ SKUs), raw materials, sub-assemblies, and long-lead components while optimizing working capital against customer fill-rate targets.
• Systems & Analytics Proficiency: Advanced mastery of enterprise ERP/MRP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, E2Open) and BI visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau) within high-volume electromechanical and industrial manufacturing setups.
• Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a technical discipline required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred. APICS CPIM/CSCP and Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certifications are highly advantageous.
• Location & Mobility: Ability to work 100% on-site in the Greater New York Metro Area (or relocate within 3–4 weeks), with up to 30% regional travel across manufacturing sites.
