Urgent Care NP/PA

Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia

Provider must be comfortable working independently

Coverage may include multiple nearby clinic locations within approximately 30 miles

Compensation: Hourly: $130/hr, Orientation: $130/hr.

Schedule

Monday–Sunday coverage

8:00 AM–8:00 PM

Approximately 20 shifts per month

Full-time coverage

No call

Patient Population / Volume

All ages, including pediatrics 6 months+

Approximately 80% Adult / 20% Pediatric

Average volume: 3–4 patients per hour

Typical urgent care acuity

Higher-acuity patients are referred to the local Emergency Department

Cold and flu symptoms

Rashes

Abrasions

Sprains

Minor burns

Minor injuries

Wound care

Other routine urgent care presentations

Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat urgent care patients

Suturing

Wound care

Incision and drainage

Splinting

Interpret X-rays

Interpret EKGs

Draw blood

Start/manage IVs

Provide pediatric urgent care

Work independently without onsite supervision when needed

Support Staff

Medical Assistants onsite

Radiology Technicians onsite

Approximately 1–3 providers staffed per day

If a physician is not onsite, physician support is available remotely for escalation

Requirements

Board Certified – Required

Active West Virginia license – Required

DEA – Required

CSR – Required

ACLS – Required

BLS – Required

PALS – Required

Minimum 2 years of Urgent Care experience OR 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience

Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages, including pediatrics 6 months+

Must be comfortable with orthopedic procedures including splinting

Must be comfortable with wound care

Must be comfortable working independently

IMLC not accepted
