What You'll Do

• Perform Diverse Ultrasound Exams Conduct various ultrasound exams, including abdominal, pelvic, musculoskeletal, and vascular studies, ensuring precise and clear imaging results.
• Operate Ultrasound Equipment with Accuracy Skillfully operate ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings to achieve optimal images for accurate diagnosis.
• Ensure Patient Comfort and Safety Position patients correctly and maintain their comfort and safety throughout the examination process. Provide clear instructions and address any concerns to make the experience more comfortable for patients.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to analyze ultrasound findings and contribute to accurate and timely diagnostic decisions.
• Accurate Documentation of Results Document patient information and imaging results in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system while maintaining strict accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Adhere to Safety and Regulatory Guidelines Follow safety and regulatory protocols, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, AIUM, and other healthcare standards.
• Equipment Maintenance Regularly check and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure it functions at its best. Report any technical issues promptly to avoid disruption in patient care.
• Commitment to Professional Development Stay updated with the latest advancements in sonography technology and best practices, committing to continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.

Certification & Licensure:

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-S).
• State licensure as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Ohio, if applicable.

Experience & Skills:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Sonographer in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and associated software programs.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and ultrasound techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in a patient care setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and occasional on-call shifts.
