Job Summary:
An ICU Neurological Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Rockford, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with experience in neuro-focused patient care at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day of assignment. The position starts on June 15, 2026, and offers a night shift schedule with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Rockford, Illinois
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license, CPR (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, graduate of an accredited nursing program, with ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Additional Information: Utilizes nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for neuro-critical patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with policies, standards of care, and state laws. Develops and executes patient care plans, participates in performance improvement activities, and supports patient safety and experience through critical thinking and escalation when necessary.
